Catholic Relief Services is the official humanitarian relief and development agency of the US Catholic community, carrying out the commitment of the Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas.  For more than 80 years, CRS has been providing expertise and compassion to the most vulnerable of our sisters and brothers in more than 100 countries.

Since the beginning of 2025, the US government has reshaped its international humanitarian aid policies and funding.  As a result, vital CRS humanitarian programs related to food insecurity, malnutrition and poverty alleviation were terminated.  Farmers are not receiving seeds and tools to plant crops, children face hunger and disrupted education, community members will suffer from preventable diseases like malaria, and humanitarian response programs providing clean water and safe, dignified shelter are greatly reduced.
